I have been interested in photography since 2003 when I received my first film SLR camera from my father, who also took a huge interest. My family have always been lovers of nature, which was another reason I decided to get into photography. My father was more than keen to take the whole family out to Scotland to see all kinds of nature, as he was born and raised in Scotland.

Since i recieved my first film SLR camera, an Olympus OM-10, I jumped straight into the traditional technical qualities of photography, learning from every photo I took in order to progress with the next one. This was an ideal way of learning for me, especally when I coverted to digital early 2007.

Being brought up around nature, I've enjoyed taking photos of it, experimenting with long exposure and water. I've always admired portrait photography, and recently i've been getting into it and enjoying it a lot. after my short break in Canada I hope to start a portrait series which will be my first main series of photos.
